My Top Picks for Healthy Eats in Palm Beach County

Growing up in the heart of NYC I pride myself on recognizing some really good eats. Yup, I was reared at a young age to recognize greatness. Jiro Dreams of Sushi anyone? Ok, sometimes it’s a burden. Not my fault! Sure I may not have any ‘professional’ training (well, I take that back, I lived with a professional 32 yrs in business, hard ass Gordon Ramsey accept no mediocrity type catering Chef in hoity toity Madison, CT) – and I was a self-discriminating ballet dancer in NYC, yikes! But as a novice gourmet foodie, whose frequented such places in her lifetime as Nobu, Momofuku, Le Bernardin, LeCirque, Cafe Des Artistes, and Jean Georges,  I think I can pretty well spot ’em. I find myself ever ‘Epicurious’ and a great restaurant is always paramount on my list. Hole in the wall, burger joint, dive bar, fine dining establishment, no matter! Now that I reside in sunny Jupiter, FL one of my favorite past times is still trying to scope out the best healthy eats with unique, flavorful menus, who staff genuinely nice people who have a true appreciation of great food, service, hospitality, and offer the best, most delectable, overall healthy cuisine, sourced responsibly (key point). Here are a few of my top picks in Palm Beach County. Mind you, I haven’t been here long and I’m still making my way through! Emphasis is always on nutritious, fresh, ambrosial and exquisite ingredients, with a unique spin on flavors and a cool, unique vibe/atmosphere shakes things up too! I’m not talking your run of the mill salad, soup, and panini joint here! Places I frequent gotta possess some distinction, personality and pizzazz to make my list! Regardless whether you’re a vegan, vegetarian, meat lover, pescatarian, watching your carbs, seeking farm to table, etc… – if you’re on the lookout for some top healthy, exotic and interesting eats in So. Florida you’re in the right place. Bon appetit!

Little Moir’s Food Shack has been quick to draw local and national attention from The New York Times and Southern Living Magazine. caught wind of the delicious plates coming out of their kitchen.

Read my latest review on TripAdvisor. I was not too pleased with my latest visit there unfortunately, but I must be honest. Maybe it was just an ‘off’ night which we all have from time to time.

Overall people have nothing but wonderful things to say about this Jupiter gem, time and time again.

Sadly, that was not my experience in September  2019, but hopefully this will not be the case next time.

Updates to come. Meanwhile, I hope Food Shack can live up to it’s awesome reputation!
