The cucumber is a versatile vegetable that is mostly used for salads, in sushi dishes and the making of a tartar – the cold soup that cools in the summer. 90% of it is water, so it is recommended for consumption in the heat.
What are the health benefits of having a cucumber in the heat?
The greatest benefit of the vegetable is that its regular consumption this season prevents dehydration of the body. When you eat more fruits and vegetables rich in water, you improve the body’s electrolyte balance.
Vegetables are not caloric and can therefore be taken by people on a diet or avoiding high-carbohydrate foods.
Cucumbers contain vitamin K, and its deficiency causes bone problems. A cucumber dish supplies the body with about 12% of the recommended daily intake. This nutrient has another role – it helps absorb calcium, which also strengthens the bones.
The pieces of cucumber put on the skin help to moisturize and soothe it. Vitamins and minerals in vegetables have the ability to reduce inflammation and irritation on the face of the face, so masks with circles are often made.
